Sunday, a weekend review!

10 months and 6 days old and he FINALLY has a tooth!  It happened between 3:30pm and 5:30pm.  I just checked him at 3:30 and there was nothing.  But at 5:30 when I fed him dinner, there it was!!  Bottom Left tooth! I am sure there will be more very soon!!
What a Stud!!  Enjoying his bath!

Starting on Friday, Evin realized that she can play with Chopper.  She has been taking his toys and calling him to chase her around the house.  They go round and round for as long as possible until someone stops them.  They keep wearing themselves out.  Crazy girl and doggy!!  As soon as she sits down, she is calling Chopper to come sit next to her.  It doesn't work since Chopper doesn't listen to her, so we have to call Chopper over to her.  She is LOVING it!!
Evin things that Chopper is her new best friend!
The Big Wheel!!  It has become so much fun!  Matt helped Evin and Jaxin discover a way that they can both ride on it together.  Matt pushes them around and around on it while Evin and Jaxin giggle!!!  What a fun Daddy!

Flashback Friday

Ok, I am stealing this idea from several other blogs.  But I have nothing new to post today.
Here is on of my favorite wedding pictures!!  6 years ago (tomorrow) we started our family.

About 9 month later we added another member to our family Chopper.

In February of 2008, Evin, our Princess and Angel Baby, joined us.

In October of 2009, Jaxin, our Munchkin Man and Miracle, joined us.
Our family is now complete!

Fun times at home with the babes!!

See, she is a Girly Girl and a Tom Boy!!!  I have my proof for all you non-believers!!
So Jaxin has been fighting baby food lately.  Unfortunately, his lack of teeth and extreme hunger does not allow him to eat enought non-baby food to get him full.  So they way to get him to eat, Yep put the Disney Toy Story Book on the iPad!!
Evin and Jaxin got some mail yesterday and today after school, they got their new toys from Nana.  Penguins and a pot of gold from Club Penguin for Evin and Monkeys from Diego for Jaxin.  They even played nice together.
And then they cuddled, snuggled and gave kisses on the couch for about 30 second.  They didn't want to sit that still!!  Love these kids!!
And during picture taking a great Evin shot was captured

And Jaxin came "running" (crawling really quickly) to get in on the action too!

They sure were fun today! Once the nap battle was won my Mommy and Daddy. The war is not over and I am sure it won't be for quite some time, so we will take this win for today!!

Sunday, Sunday

Today started off at 4:50am with a little fevered princess. Then the little man woke up and he had a fever too.  Luckily, the meds brought it down for both of them.  The good news is that they both napped well and they appeared to be feeling better by the time bed time rolled around tonight.

So I made Evin 2 more tutus tonight!  I LOVE them!!!  I have 2 more to make her probably next weekend or maybe one night this week, but not quite yet!  YAY for crafting!!!

The Blue one!

My Favorite so far, the Pink one!

A close up of the pink one so that you can see kinda what I did!  I can't wait to make more!!!

Today felt GREAT!!!

Oh today was a great day. I took both kiddos to Joann Fabrics with me and they were great!! I got a bunch of Tulle to make Evin some tutus. I made one today (see picture above) and I have several more in different styles ready for me to sew up tomorrow. This one is Blue, Pink, White and Black. It is a bit big on her, but I guess that is what happens when you make it when she is asleep. I also made her a pony tail holder (see picture below). hehe

Then I spent some time sewing together the stuff that I cut and pinned up the other night.  Evin is THRILLED with her new "Silky" or Lovey.  Jax got his replaced.  He left his nice black and grey camo one on the air plane or at the air port (I was sad), so I duplicated it and made 3 others for future gifts! I also plan to make Jaxin another one tomorrow.

I really do need to spend some time on some house stuff, but I am loving this!!  I feel so much better being back to my crafting!!

Oh and here is Evin's "Spotting Scope" that we made the other day.
And just because he is so cute, I have to share Jaxin too!!  He was watching The Backyardigans!

Happy Friday the 13th!!

"Mommy, I don't need your help with these"!  I know that is what Jax was thinking as he was eating his breakfast this morning.

Last night was fairly successful. I started a project that I have been meaning to do since we decided on Jaxin's name.  I am FINALLY cross stitching his name to put in a frame in his room.  Evin's was a bib that we framed and it sits on her shelf.  When I am finished with Jax's I will post pictures of both.  Cross stitching is so relaxing to me.  I love to do it.  I am also doing it with out a pattern, so everything will be unique and all the letters will be slightly different (Evin's were too)! It makes me happy!!  I should finish either tonight or tomorrow night.  This is a project (needles and scissors) that is only able to be worked on when the kiddos are sleeping.  I hope to get the sewing machine out tomorrow too!! Oh I have so many ideas and not enough time/energy.

I had a feeling last night was going to be a rough night, but I had no idea it was going to be as rough as it was.  Evin was cranky from not napping yesterday and she was also beginning to get a cold.  We spent an hour and a half awake together.  It all started with "Mommy!!!! Help me!!!! Boogies!!!!" Yep, she sneezed out LOTS of boogers and they kept coming.  According to Matt, that was too much information, but it is a mommy's job! She is feeling better today, but still has "boogies" when she sneezes. Only time will tell.

Crafting

Evin discovered my buttons!  I was very proud (yet annoyed and I will get to that) because I spent a countless amount of time as a kid playing with buttons at both my Grandma's and Aunt Karol's house.  Evin did very well for the first 30 seconds or so.  Long enough to get the picture!  Then she started to drop some on the floor.  And guess who was right there to pick it up, yep, Jaxin! Luckily, I was there too and grabbed it out of his hand before it went to his mouth.  The good news is that he has his pincher skills down, the bad news is that he is picking up everything.  As Evin kept dropping the buttons, I realized that maybe she was too young to play with all the buttons.  I think next time, we will just stick with the large buttons.

After the buttons, Evin and I made a "special project", a Spotting Scope!  She keeps asking for one every time she sees Diego with his.  So we took a tube that was in my ribbon drawer and covered it with ribbon to make it.  She LOVES it!!  Next, I think we will make some binoculars out of 2 empty toilet paper rolls.

Trying Something New

Me with Jaxin and Evin on my 30th birthday! (Yes it was 2 1/2 months ago, but it is still a good picture!)

I hope this blog will allow other to keep in touch with my family and for me to get to know me again.
